WE OPTIMIZE SOFTWARE USER EXPERIENCES FOR ALL DEVICES
Usability Testing & Evaluations
To understand what our Usability Testing services are all about, we’ll start by letting you know what they are not. They are not about spending weeks recruiting users and observing them in a one-way mirrored room while we burn through your entire budget. Our Usability Tests typically involved 3-5 users for about 20 minutes each. Sometimes we bring them into our office. Sometimes we conduct web conferences and point them to a test site. Since the primary goal is to learn how real people use something before it is developed, it doesn’t take much effort to gain a whole lot of knowledge. To us, a great-looking screen that is difficult to use is still a bad design.
A/B Multivariate Testing
Our Usability Tests helped us prove which design was the most usable but now we want to know which variation of our proven design gets people to act on something. This is where A/B testing comes in. With A/B Testing we can run simultaneous tests of different versions of a design on random sections of an audience to see which performs the best. With these tests, we will experiment with everything from simple text changes to color changes to layout changes until we can declare a clear winner. The true power of A/B Testing is revealed in the quick and dramatic impact it can have on increasing conversions and reducing bounce rates. The bottom line is, if you sell stuff online and you’re not doing A/B Testing, you’re already losing money.
Conversion Rate Optimization
In internet marketing, conversion rate optimization (CRO) is a system for increasing the percentage of visitors to a website that convert into customers, or more generally, take any desired action. At UX Team, we are true believers in using this proven, scientific formula for optimizing conversion rates developed by MECLABS Institute — a research laboratory dedicated to discovering what really works in online marketing.
The Conversion Rate Optimization heuristic is expressed as follows:
C = Probability of conversion
m = Motivation of user (when)
v = Clarity of the value proposition (why)
i = Incentive to take action
f = Friction elements of process
a = Anxiety about entering information
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The goal of SEO is to maximize the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). To do this, it is critical that your website implements SEO industry best practices to help your website be found by the right visitors that are already searching for a site like yours.
