Caregiver Dashboard for Managing Daily Care

Project overview

MiraKare is a health tech platform that supports families caring for a loved one. In a focused, one-week sprint, we redesigned the dashboard to give users the tools and information they need to manage daily care confidently and with ease. We prioritized real-time health updates, medication and daily schedule tracking, and improved coordination among family members and caregivers, providing a central hub where they can quickly see what matters most.

Key insights

Simplified dashboard reduces cognitive load

We thoughtfully organized the dashboard to give caregivers the information they need to quickly understand the care recipient’s needs. Grouping key health metrics, daily tasks, medications, and activities helps ease decision-making and allows caregivers to focus on what matters most.

Dashboard widgets include health metrics, a schedule with checkboxes for users to mark as complete, and a medication widget displaying the medication name, the date and time of the next dose, and the last dose taken.
Activity feed on the dashboard illustrates functionality to add a post and a caregiver commenting on another's post, and a system-generated post for a completed schedule item.

A unified activity feed improves care coordination

To keep caregivers informed, we implemented a centralized feed where they can post observations, assessments, and even connect for support. Users can also reply to messages, so information stays organized and is not taken out of context. System-generated posts also log task completions, showing when and by whom scheduled tasks are completed.

Real-time alerts support timely care

We thoughtfully designed notifications to deliver clear, actionable information, reducing the likelihood of missed medications and overlooked health changes, helping caregivers ensure nothing important is missed without overwhelming them.

Conclusion

Through this one-week sprint, our redesign of the MiraKare dashboard addressed key challenges caregivers face: Accessing up-to-date information, coordinating with others, and managing daily care tasks efficiently. By enhancing the dashboard to improve the caregiving experience, we’ve created a platform that enables caregivers to make confident, timely decisions, reducing stress and workload. The updated dashboard not only streamlines care management but also supports better collaboration among family members and caregivers, helping deliver consistent, high-quality care for loved ones.
